OVERVIEW:

The mortgage loan processor strives for exceptional customer service. Our vision of the "relentless pursuit of home" during the home loan transaction from a processing role includes: pre-scrubbing all new loan files to make sure file matches AUS approval, client document gathering, assigning files to underwriting, reviewing loan approval, requesting and following up with borrowers to ensure conditions are received back from clients within a timely manner, resubmitting loan files for CTC and preparing the file for Closing (gathering invoices, VVOE's, etc) so our valued clients can obtain the dream of owning a home.

MAJOR Responsibilities:

Client Communication & Service

  • Maintain delivery of exceptional service levels during the processing of the mortgage loans.
  • Initiate communication with and gather important documentation from clients for all assigned files in accordance with underwriting conditions.
  • Promote honest and open communication internally and with our clients.

Loan Processing & Pipeline Management

  • Satisfy underwriting conditions and verify qualifying characteristics (assets, income, credit ... etc.).
  • Handle a pipeline of 18-22 loans mixed between all loan types (conv., FHA, VA, USDA) with minimal assistance.
  • Work with other departments to ensure the workflow or process provides the best service to the clients.

Professional Conduct & Compliance

  • Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the company's values, philosophies, and leadership characteristics.
  • Handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • May be required to work extended hours during heavier workload periods.

MUST HAVE Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of mortgage processing experience.
  • Proficiency with Encompass loan origination software.
  • Excellent understanding of mortgage lending processes and industry practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with borrowers, teammates, and vendors.
  • Excellent mortgage loan program knowledge (FHA, VA, CONV, USDA, Non-conforming, Delegated and non-delegated experience).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Skilled in resolving interpersonal conflicts and navigating miscommunications professionally.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

NICE-TO-HAVE Requirements:

  • Bilingual in Spanish, with the ability to read, write, and speak effectively and accurately.
  • Experience using Blend or similar borrower application platforms.
  • Familiarity with mortgage compliance tools and processes, including Mavent.
  • Skilled in reviewing file documentation to identify missing or incorrect information.
  • Experience supporting Loan Officers with tasks and requests to complete and process loan applications.
  • Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
  • Eagerness to learn new concepts and a desire to grow and advance within the role.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in an office environment, while sitting, standing, walking, typing and speaking.

Security Responsibilities:

  • Operate in alignment with all company security policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to ensure confidentiality and integrity of data.
  • Complete all assigned security and compliance trainings (e.g., BAI modules) within designated timeframes.
  • Protect sensitive borrower and company data, including secure handling, storage, and transmission of loan documents and audit materials.
  • Limit access to confidential information to only those with a legitimate business need, in accordance with the principle of least privilege.
  • Report any suspected security incidents or breaches immediately to the appropriate internal contact or security officer.
  • Maintain vigilance in preventing unauthorized access, including secure login practices and safeguarding of credentials.
